RE: Try to call Walmart and page someone.....nope
And, if you really need to contact someone for an emergency, you simply ask for the floor manager or shift supervisor. They may not be able to page anyone personally, but I'm sure they can find a manager. It's the manager's responsibility to notify their employee in a manner that will not affect customers, safety, or other employees.
BTW, the military can be just as stringent if they so desire. This isn't a new thing that WalMart just thought up. More likely, demanding adherence to pre-existing rules was a result of abuse. Talk to managers if it is imperative you reach an employee. If it is really an emergency, the police will be able to get through anyway.
RE: How do I post pics?
First step is to save those photos online somewhere like flickr.com or one of the other photo sharing sites, and then marking them so they can be accessed by anyone.
Second step is to get the url of the photos you want to share here (right-click on the photo and select property, then copy the address).
Third, start a thread here (or wherever you want to post the pics), click the photo button and paste in the url of the photo there. Repeat for each photo you want to put in here.
Interesting Product for long hauls
If they'll work for bikers and truckers, why not rv'ers?
Just a thought, I may get a pair to try out, since they have a decent return policy. Thought I'd pass on the link for those others who've suffered from numbness and hot spots.

And no, I don't own any stock in the company.
RE: Cats
fickman and others, although live traps and animal control are the best answer, it is not always the most obvious answer. The OP may live in an area like mine, Animal Control is very minimal, ours just do dogs, no cats, just dogs. I have tried for over a year to find someone to take the feral or otherwise, "roaming cats" off my hands after I live trap them. No one local will or can do anything. I have even trapped two cats and had them spayed at my expense, $60.00 a pop, but fewer and fewer Vets will work on them. They say that feral cats carry too many diseases and they need to be eleminated. More than one Vet has told me this. They can and will overrun a place fast if not kept in check........
Try these folks, since they are Arkansas' Cat Rescue organization (well, the one in Hot Springs, anyway). http://www.guardianangelscatclub.org/
RE: You never think it will happen to you (Credit Agencies)
One of the credit reporting agencies have my name spelled wrong, can't seem to get that fixed. Another has my employer down twice, both mis=spelled so if an idiot looks at my report, it appears that I have two jobs and work for two different companies. Cant seem to get that fixed either. And finally TransUnion, the only decent one of the bunch had listed an account with Sears on my report. I have never in my life opened a sears charge account and they took it off immediately.
So in my case it's the uncaring idiots working at the credit reporting agencies who can't seem to do a proper job. This is why I'm filing a complaint againt them.
If that credit entry is bad, challenge the name spelling. They may get it removed if the creditor reporting the information doesn't feel it's worth it to argue about the name. As for your employer information, call the creditor's billing department and get them to correct the bad one, or to pull the entry. You don't have to just go through the reporting agencies, you know. As to how long it stays there? About 7 years.

Sure have seen a lot more of these on the road lately.
Sorry, I just got my IRS incentive check, and I've been spending it on things on the interent and having them overnighted. I'll try to keep it less noticeable in the future...
RE: Just FYI - Light Pollution
Lights reduce crime.
How do you figure?
There's lots of crime in the cities, and they are bright.
There's hardly any crime out in the country, and it's dark there at night.
Sounds like a connection between lights and crime to me :B
In all seriousness, if it's really dark, criminals can't see to do their thing.
Actually I think it may have more to do with the following, than just lights:
1. The country is too far to walk to steal a car.
2. While you can drive there, usually country folk have:
a. Dogs - big ones and smart ones.
b. Guns - and they know how to use them.
c. A real dislike for thieves and ne'er do wells.
d. Ways to take care of you that are guaranteed to bring out the baby in you. Before you disappear without a trace.
e. Places to put you where no one will ever hear you scream.
Tends to keep them away from the country.
RE: Detroit House Sells for $1.00
I've gone through two reality companies....
Well then, no wonder you can't sell it. Reality companies don't do realty, they do the schools of hard knocks, lol.
Good luck to you on the sale, however. I know a guy who just retired from the Ford plant in Detroit. Maybe he's looking for a second home. Send me an IM with a price and location, I'll be happy to pass it on.
RE: Just FYI - Light Pollution
It is a big problem in most cities, that's for sure. Getting harder and harder to find a nice place for astronomy inside city limits, especially if you're trying to do ccd or film photography of the night sky. Still places within 10 miles I can find here in the Springs, but some nights, I'd just like the convenience of being in the back yard.
Of course, I could always get a permit and have a private dome put in or attached to the garage, as I know there's plans online.....
Still, I wouldn't mind it at all if some RV manufacturer would make a starwatcher's coach, complete with housing, lift, and remote control for Newtonian or Catadioptric scopes, and an observatory slit for using it. I mean what's another dome on top of the coach, and the loss of a foot or so of head space when the scope is tucked inside its perch when not being used? Might make stopping in the middle of nowhere more of a destination.....
RE: Snow in Colorado by Friday
Let's see.... 64 Sat and Sunday, which means the Cripple Creek and Woodland Park rallies are going to be in the 40s or low 50s during the day, and snow forecast for the top of Pike's Peak this weekend.
Looks like the return run from Cripple Creek to the Springs this weekend will go back to the traditional hail run this year, lol. Although that stuff does hurt and is pretty slick when it's on the road....
Definitely a helmet and full leathers weekend.
RE: RV legal to park on street?
And it also depends on the neighbors. If they are tired of seeing it, they can anonymously complain to Code Enforcement (phone or website), who has to come check out the complaint within so many hours.
RE: What state to register my new trailer...SD or CO?
In the Springs it'll depend on whether or not the address you are registering it to is in the county, city, or on federal land.
I kept my Washington state driver's license for 20.5 years, too. Once in a while a civilian police officer in one state or another would balk about the 3 state rule (license for one state, living in another, registration in a third), so I typically just registered my vehicles in the state I was in within 90 days of arrival (required by some states). Kept them happy and me without tickets.
